We aim to provide a home from home child centred setting where children access a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Promoting the importance of exploration and discovery both with the setting and outdoors in our garden, on farm walks and at forest school.

At Sunny Socks we regularly ask parents for their suggestions as to how we can develop and improve the services we offer to local families. As a result we now have a wide range of ways in which parents can access our services and benefit from the unique experience that Sunny Socks provides.

  • All day:                       8am – 6pm    £70       Including morning snack, lunch and tea

    Short day:                  8am – 4pm    £61  Including morning snack and lunch

    Half day:                    8am-1pm       £45  Including morning snack and lunch

                                     1pm-6pm       £45  Including lunch and tea

     

    Breakfast Club:        7.30am- 8am £5.75    Including breakfast

    Forest School:          Sessions are included in the price for the preschool children.

 

Government Funding

  • Please note in most cases funded places are not free and additional charges apply

    3 and 4 year olds 

    Universal Funding:All 3 and 4-year-olds in England receive a maximum of 570 hours of government funded early educationfrom the term following a child’s 3rd birthday. This is used over the full 51 weeks we are open and equates to a maximum of 11 hours a week. This is applied for automatically by the nursery. A local government funding contract needs to be completed at least 2 months in advance. 

    Extended hours Funding:Some parents of 3 and 4-year-olds may be entitled to the Extended Funding; an additional 570 hours per year. This, when spread out over the 51 weeks we are open, equates to a maximum of 22 hours a week when added to the universal funded hours.     2 year olds 

    From April 2024 children of working parents can apply for 570 hours of government funded early educationfrom the term following a child’s 2nd birthday. Again, this is used over the full 51 weeks we are open and equates to a maximum of 11 hours a week.

    Sunny Socks is open Monday to Friday 7.30am-6pm with the exception of bank holidays and a week at Christmas. 
  • Fees are worked out over a 51 week period and spread equally over 12 months of the year.
  • Invoices will be sent out a week in advance and fees are due on the 1st of each month. Accounts overdue on the 3rd are subject to a surcharge of 10% of the outstanding amount. Your child’s place will be suspended if fees remain outstanding by the 7th of the month and until full payment is made.
  • Extra sessions are subject to availability and cannot be swapped with your standard sessions. Extras are charged at their usual rate and do not receive any discounts. These will be added to the following months invoice.
  • £5 per 5 minutes will be charged for early arrival or late collection of a child at any time of the day.
