About Sunny Socks
Sunny Socks Nursery School has been a cherished part of the community since 1989, when the Turney family first opened its doors in the stable block at Park Farm. Their vision was to create a nurturing, homely environment where children could thrive, surrounded by nature and free from the distractions of busy roads.
Over the years, Sunny Socks has flourished, welcoming generations of families—some of our earliest children now bring their own little ones to experience the same warmth and care. Today, Cathy and Mark Turney continue to lead the nursery, having watched their own four children grow within its enriching surroundings.
We are committed to evolving and enhancing our space to provide the best possible experience for every child. Recent updates include an extended preschool room, a redesigned baby room, improved toilet facilities, expanded role play resources, and the creation of our first allotment in the garden. We’ve also increased parking spaces, upgraded car park lighting, and expanded the beloved "bus stop" area, where children excitedly swap their indoor shoes for wellies before heading off on outdoor adventures.
It’s this thoughtful attention to detail, combined with our dedicated staff and inspiring setting, that makes Sunny Socks such a special place for children to learn, grow, and explore.
